The final routine! Get practicing!

I apologise that this routine wasn't up last night for you all to be practicing but we were all caught up at Big Bingay running around in our speedos (and Nick doing the odd handstand). We had a fantastic night and helped them raise a lot of money.
So, here's the routine. We are going to be fabulous! Don't forget the extra rehearsal on Tuesday night if you can make it!

Rehearsal number 2

For everyone that was at the second rehearsal I think it's a fair statement to say we achieved a lot, and it's going to be a GREAT routine. The crowd is going to love it. God knows the patrol and the public on Bondi beach seemed to find it quite entertaining watching us run through it a few times for the Foxtel taping.
Here's a bunch more photos from rehearsal #2... Josh, why so serious?

Lifesavers on Foxtel!

This morning a handfull of the Lifesavers with Pride met up at North Bondi and filmed a profile piece for Foxtel to be aired during their broadcast of the parade. Thanks to everyone that came down. We spent a couple of hours doing interviews, running up and down the beach and in and out of the water, Baywatch style. There was also a bit of a laugh for all the other people on the beach when we did a few run throughs of the routine thus far. Nick especially did well given that he'd never done it before!

Bondi Boys Sexy Party!

A few of the Lifesavers With Pride are going to be making an appearance on stage at the Bondi Boys Sexy party on Sunday 1 March so it would be great to see all the members who won't be on stage come out and support the party and those performing.
The Bondi Boys have been good enough to sponsor us this year, so get your tickets and come along. Who wouldn't want to come and party with sexy guys and girls at the Bondi Pavilion the weekend before Mardi Gras in the sunshine?
Get all the details on the party and how to get tickets at www.bondiboys.com.au

1st Rehearsal!

Thanks to everyone that came along for the first rehearsal on Thursday night. We had a blast and it looks like Angela has her creative juices flowing nicely on this years routine. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and it was impressive to see how coordinated we all were.
This week's rehearsal will be at North Bondi as initially planned. Remember, you need to come to three rehearsals to be able to take part on the big night, so come along and show us your stuff!

Lifesavers With Pride at Big Bingay!

A weekly event in Sydney is Bingay, a rowdier and raunchier version of Bingo than your gran plays and a hell of a lot more fun. It's a fundraiser for ACON (AIDS council of NSW) and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last 7 or 8 years.

Every year they hold Big Bingay in the lead up to Mardi Gras. It's in a bigger venue and raises more money for a very important cause. This year, the Lifesavers With Pride are proud to be associated with Big Bingay. We'll be helping the ever fabulous Mitzi with her Grand entrance and generally being a bit of help around the place on the night. Yes, for those of you wanting to know, we'll be doing it in our little swimming costumes.

The event is on Friday 27th February at Paddington RSL Club at 7.30 Sharp. I suggest you book now if you are planning on coming along. Call David on 9206 2110 or email events2009@acon.org.au
